SEAN DOBBELAAR
Co-Founder / Chief Executive Officer
Sean is responsible for leading the organization, its operations and investment funds, and is also a member of Keystone Farmland’s board of directors. With a passion for agriculture and financial services, he is focused on providing innovative solutions for farm families, while creating lasting value for investors by partnering with progressive farm operators
Prior to co-founding Keystone Farmland, he was actively involved in the acquisition and management of a large growing portfolio of high-quality farmland investments in Ontario, on behalf of one of Canada’s largest publicly traded financial services companies. Sean hails from a grain, oilseeds, and vegetable farming family and has nearly a decade of experience in senior agriculture lending.
NICOLE LIVINGSTON
Senior Analyst, Acquisitions & Investments
Nicole supports Keystone Farmland’s investment strategy through financial analysis, market research, and asset management. With a strong background in finance and sustainability, she is focused on leveraging her expertise to help grow Keystone’s portfolio of farmland investments while ensuring long-term value creation for both farm operators and investors.
Prior to joining Keystone, Nicole worked at CPP Investments across multiple roles in the Office of the CSO, and fundamental investment teams, where she contributed to ESG strategy, carbon underwriting, and investment analysis across real estate, energy, and credit. Nicole holds an MSc in Finance from Emlyon Business School and a BComm in Finance from the University of Calgary.
GREG THOMPSON
Co-Founder / Chairman
As chairman of the Keystone Farmland board, Greg is a seasoned entrepreneur and accomplished leader within the financial services industry. A strategic leader with a strong passion for mentoring energetic and creative talent, Greg leads Keystone Farmland’s strategic direction and partnership relations.
As a passionate farmland investor, Greg successfully raised capital from global investors for agricultural projects and corporate farms in North and South America. He founded a boutique investment bank that was repeatedly recognized as one of the top 10 equity underwriters in Canada. Upon merging this company with a Canadian bank-owned investment dealer, Greg served as the combined firm’s head of investment banking.
NICK DUDER
Director of Corporate Development
Nick brings a diverse background to Keystone Farmland, having developed expertise in commercial real estate brokerage and real estate investments. Most recently, he led the Investor Relations and Capital Raising function at a Toronto based real estate private equity firm, where he played a pivotal role in building and managing partnerships and investor relationships.
At Keystone Nick is responsible for the development and execution of our growth strategy as well as ensuring we deliver not only value to our partners, but also an exceptional investor experience.
ADAM VERVOORT
Strategic Advisor & Outside Finance
Adam Vervoort, CPA, serves as a Strategic Advisor to Keystone Farmland, providing oversight and guidance on financial governance, portfolio evaluation, and business strategy execution. His expertise in risk management, business analytics, and capital deployment continues to support Keystone’s disciplined approach to farmland investment.
Adam previously held the role of Canadian Head of Agriculture at the country’s largest non-government agriculture lender. During his tenure, he was responsible for one of the most significant growth periods in the institution’s agricultural portfolio, materially exceeding market benchmarks.
Strategic Advisors
Greg Colman
- Managing Director and Head of Equity Research at National Bank Financial
- Prior experience includes Equity Research Analyst with Wellington West Capital Markets, focused on large scale farming, agriculture and natural resources
- Key member of Wellington’s agriculture team, financed large scale farming operations and other entrepreneurial agriculture endeavours
Kenneth Irving
- Successful business entrepreneur, including applying technology to transportation efficiency, banking personal data, and technology for the delivery of direct-to-brain pharmaceuticals
- Prior experience leading Canada’s largest family-owned energy business, including oil and gas refining, trading, transportation, and power generation
Milena Kaikov
- Milena is the Head of Global Sustainable Products at McCain Foods. She is responsible for growing a sustainable product portfolio made from crops grown using regenerative agriculture practices
- Previously Milena was the Chief of Staff, Office of the CEO, where she worked alongside McCain's Global CEO to develop and implement strategic initiatives across McCain's global operations
- Prior to joining McCain Foods, Milena was a Management Consultant at Deloitte
